No mobile data/signal for over a month

Hi

I have not been able to make any calls/text or browse the internet without being connected to wifi since 25 January.

I put my phone (S22 Ultra) on airplane mode for a flight and since then it won't find a signal or connect to a mobile network.

I've been back in the UK since 15 February and it's still not working.

I'm on the phone (using wifi calling) to O2 daily and I'm at my wits end. I've received two physical new SIMs and a eSIM but this hasn't resolved the issue.

I spoke with Samsumg yesterday to see if it was an issue with my phone. They suggested doing a factory reset but I have drafts in my Instagram/Tiktok that I believe I will lose if I do this. I know that seems trivial but it's for my work so I can't afford to lose them.

Every time I call O2, I'm having to explain the situation to someone new. They always just say it's being investigated but I never hear back.

Any suggestions please? I was told in store I should upgrade and get a new phone but that seems like a sales ploy for me to pay extra.

@Becky15

Try your physical sim in a different phone.

If it works in there, it's a phone issue and not an O2 issue.

Identify the cause first before going any further.

Hi

The SIM does work in another phone. So is my only option a factory reset?

Also just to add, randomly for 5 minutes the other night I did get a signal and 5G so that's what makes me think it's not my phone.

@Becky15

If your sim works in another phone it is definitely your phone at fault, so no amount of sim swaps or O2 investigations will help.

You need to get your phone checked by Samsung for any faults. If it's a hardware fault, a factory reset will not help either as it will need physical parts to repair the phone.

Have you tried another sim in your phone too as that will 100% prove a phone issue.

APN wouldn't prevent calls and texts working though.

Just a thought really

After that I reckon it will have to be a factory reset

If the phone goes for a repair it's the first thing they will do
