Hi I paid my phone bill yesterday that was overdue and it said it should be on within 12 hours but nothing is still working? And I need my phone for work purpose

It may be something like 2 to 24hrs - weekend also may be slower.

It can take up to 48 hours for payments to clear. Not sure if weekends have an effect
Payment Management are your best bet
You can reach the Payment Management team on 0800 902 0217.
The opening times are:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm
Saturday – 8am to 6pm
Sunday – 9am to 6pm
