We have had notification today that my monthly bill is increasing from 5.44 to 7.24 p.m.   How can this be justified!!

Justified or not all customers were notified of the new Terms and Conditions and given the option to leave at the time. Failure to do so is seen as accepting the terms

All prices will rise by £1.80 each April

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Also, if you signed up recently then the annual price rise was clearly indicated

It pains me to say this but it's why companies get away with stuff like this, nobody reads the "fine print" any more (terms and conditions) or they just skim through it without actually taking in what they're signing.

You signed up to it, if you acknowledged you had read all the Ts&Cs by signing on the dotted line when you bought the contract - it's not a case of "companies getting away with stuff like this", really, is it @MrRichAllen1976?

When you get on a bus, you buy your ticket - if you don't pay enough, an inspector may decide to fine you... same sort of thing. Or the bus driver could ask you to alight from the vehicle, if he could be bothered.

£1.80 really isn't that much I guess depending how much you pay for your contract though mines quite cheap so I don't see the problem

The thing is @Pipstop78 it's £1.80 each year so a £6 contract for two years can end up at £9.60. Best keep to no more than 12 month contracts or go 30 day rolling with a network that at least does VoLTE.

I'm now into my 4th year with O2 having circumvented three price rises

Nobody's 'getting away' with anything. All customers were notified of the annual price increase, and O2 isn't the only network raising their prices. All the networks do it every year. If you're unhappy with what you're paying, shop around and change providers. That's what sites like Uswitch are for.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

@MrRichAllen1976

If you don't read the terms and conditions then more fool you, and not reading them is no excuse...  It even tells you when you signup that the price will increase year on year..

And no one is getting away with anything.. and pleading ignorance is just as bad...

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
