Easiest way to cancel contracts?

Hi all,

I’m looking to pay off and cancel eight O2 contracts. I’m not looking to keep any of the numbers. I know I can pay most of the balances via MyO2, but I’d prefer to avoid spending several hours trying to get through to Customer Services if possible.

I understand I can request a STAC code to give to another network and close the contracts that way. Would it be feasible to request eight free (or cheap, I suppose) PAYG SIMs from another network to do this? If so, are there any networks you would recommend?

If I use STAC codes, will O2 issue a final bill covering the remaining Device Plan balances (CCA) and any pro-rata airtime from my billing date (18th)?

I intend to keep one O2 contract active. Will using STAC codes on the other eight lines cause any issues with my remaining active contract?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

@Duckman

Yes, the easiest way is to use your STAC codes.

Any PAYG NETWORK will do. All do free sims if ordered online.

O2 will produce final bill covering anything outstanding once number has been ported out.

Any numbers that have not been issued and had codes used will remain with O2.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
