Hi all - Happy Monday!

I have 4 pay monthly phones under my O2 account, all billed through the same payment details etc.

Now that my kids are older, I am looking to move them on to their own O2 contracts and have them pay for their phones!

What do you think is the best way to do this?

My assumption is that because they are "new customers" to O2, they would need to apply for a new contract and port over their existing number.  I don't suspect there is an easier way than that to get them on to their own accounts?

They need to apply for (and get) their own contracts @Taoski

Once they have those, you and they can call customer services together to request the number be moved from the current contract to the new one.

You have to both be present for them to request the number and for you, as the current owner, to approve.

@Taoski

You are correct, it is as you say.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

@Taoski New contracts for your children would require them to pass credit checks, so make sure they can do that before you try to go through the process of moving their numbers.
