I have two active accounts for the same phone due to a technical fault with the O2 system.
So far, I have wasted six hours on calls to the call centre in India. 02 is in breach of contract and I need prompt, effective support.

There is no direct access to IT
May be worth trying the UK based Social Media Team.
It will be slow but they are more clued up
