My current bill shows "P2P Sim Only Plan Handset 12 month 1.01". I searched on the net for it and the AI replied: "A 'P2P Sim Only Plan Handset 12 month 1.01' refers to a SIM-only phone plan with a 12-month contract that includes a handset (phone) and has a base price of £1.01 per month. This plan is a pay-monthly SIM-only deal where you're billed for your data, minutes, and texts, and a handset (phone) is included in the monthly price.".
I'm on Sim Only monthly plan that's correct, but I don't have any handset included nor requested for it. Is the bill incorrect or the AI is wrong?

AI is still learning so doesn’t always get it right.
Mine also mentions a handset which I did have on this account a long time ago and switched to sim only when the handset was paid off.

So should I have received a handset?

Not necessarily @YKSK
O2’s descriptions can be vague and misleading.
If you ordered a sim only, that’s what you have.

Odd - searching for that exact description using the Google search engine (and their embedded AI now naturally!) explicitly states "...does not include a handset...", @YKSK:
A "P2P Sim Only Plan Handset 12 month 1.01" refers to a SIM-only mobile phone plan that does not include a handset (phone) and has a contract length of 12 months, with a monthly cost or a factor of 1.01 applied to the base price. This means you need to provide your own phone and will have a 12-month contract, paying a set amount each month. The "1.01" likely refers to a cost adjustment, perhaps a small percentage increase or a fee. |
As @MI5 notes, don't trust the AI, as, for example, it "thinks" Taiwan is included in O2's Travel Inclusive Ultimate Zone - it is not:
