My contract is due for renewal in a couple of months. Does O2 have anything to match Giff Gaffs monthly one meg of data and 250 minutes for £10 per month? Also does any body have any experience of GiffGaff. My present contract only gives me a measley 100 gb of data.

not for giffgaff related issues but they have there own forums like these that is how the resolve support issues.
O2 will not close down your forum account here.
But for handset issues (not related to giffgaff) still ask for help and you can still use the http://status.o2.co.uk checker for issues on the network etc (but do not use the forum here to promote the giffgaff netwoork)

Giffgaff is run (sort of by telefonica and uses o2 network) as a customer self help network I.e. no customer support. http://www.telefonica.com/en/digital/html/about_telefonica_digital/about_giffgaff.shtml
But o2 have no tariffs to match it.
If o2 signal is good for you just get a giffgaff sim and ask for your o2 number pac to transfer to giffgaff at end of your contract.

Thanks again. When my contract runs out I will look at it again. I will admit I like the support I get from O2.

If you're happy with your present phone and are prepared to pay for your next phone when the time comes, then GiffGaff seems to be the way to go. Looking at their tariffs, for another £2 more than what you were talking about, you can get unlimited data, if that's the main thing you're interested in. That looks pretty good to me.

Thanks Bambino. I use my phone basically as a phone and need at least 250 minutes a month. I try to keep my costs down and pay roughly £12 a month. I got my megs and gigs mixed up on my first post. I get 100 meg of data a month and ran out this month so a gig of data would be better.

No problem. Looking at GiffGaff again, if you're saying you need at least 250 minutes, for an extra £3 more than what you're paying now, you would get 400 minutes and unlimited on both texts and web. That also seems a better deal to me, but as said before, it's really down to your preferences and how you feel about the cost of your phone.
By the way, I don't work for GiffGaff or O2, so I have no ulterior motive here.
