Hi,

Am part of o2 because of volt boardband deal

when can I exit this without it impacting the deal with virgin media

do I have to have the contract with o2 for at least 12 months?

@Bj4

For the duration of the contract you agreed to.

That maybe 12 or 24 months, whatever your contract states.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Spoke to O2 direct; for other customers in similar situation:

you have to complete the full term of contract - if you leave early there is an early termination fee and you lose the deal benefits

so with virgin medias contract ending most people will end up paying more

worth double checking

for my circumstance it would cost me more to lost the benefit of the deal, even though the early termination is only a few months - to cancel that early would put the virgin media up to non deal price with is more expensive

so for those in similar situation you will have to see what’s best for you but for most - I think you’ll have to ride out the contract

My O2 will tell you the expiry date of your O2 contract. You will find it under View Tariff.

If you leave then and the VM side is still running there is a chance you will at least loose your speed boost.

What happens on that side of things is down to Virgin

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
