Recently purchased Nighthawk M1 mobile router, do I have to activate SIM card as showing Registration error - sim not provisioned

All sim cards arrive "activated" to a certain degree in that the display of "sim not provisioned" should not be displayed.

The only time you would get that error message is if the sim was inserted incorrectly or if the sim or device was faulty.

I'd advise you contact O2 to check or pop in store with your device for a diagnostic check.
