This is my first post but I'm now beyond desperate!
I have four lines (one for me, the wife and the kids). I upgraded the wife's phone 9 days ago to an iPhone 16 but it's never worked.
Popped out the SIM from the old phone and put it in the new one but no signal. I called O2 who said to give it 24hrs so I did and still nothing.
I called again and was told to try an e-sim but this failed to install so I called back and they made me do another one. This failed to install again so I thought I'd drive 20 minutes to the nearest store and get another physical one.
Put the physical one in and still nothing. I put it back in the old iPhone 12 and bingo, it works! I called them back again and after two hours, they were still claiming it was the SIM but wait another 24hrs and try again. Guess what? It still didn't work.
I went to the store today with it in the box etc and asked them just to take the phone back and cancel the upgrade but they refused. They said they can't while there's a lost or stolen fault code on it. What the? ....
I phoned o2 again who are still insisting it's the SIM even though the shop told me to take a picture of the error code on their screen. I gave this to the operator who didn't have a script to read from this time and just told me she would remove the bar and it will work within 10 to 15 minutes. It doesn't!
I have a phone that doesn't work and I can't give it back. I'm looking for advice on what to do next?
Please help.

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

Thanks for the reply but I know it's customer to customer and was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction of how to escape this situation. I want to cancel but can't and I have no faith in O2 to resolve this.
