I arrived in Helsinki on Saturday but roaming did not automatically switch on.i spent several hours at the hotel and eventually set a network manually and it worked I travelled to a different part of Finland and on landing again no internet. I have tried to select each of the networks manually and no luck.

Roaming in other countries (Poland) worked fine but now upgraded phone so not sure if it is network or phone issue....anyone able to help/advise on is there an email/social media contact I can connect with O2

Thanks

Some things to try:

Check data roaming is on in phone settings.

Manually search for another network

Turn off 5g

Enable 4g calling (if on contract)

Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"

Check with O2 whether you have a roaming bar on your account. Do this via social media

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X)( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Most roaming issues of this type are down to the host network

Some things to try:

Manually search for another network

Reboot the phone

Turn off 5g in network settings

If you have an iPhone change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"

If still not working then contact O2 to remove the Roaming bar on your account.

If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter x ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
