I previously had an issue with Wi-Fi on the London Underground and Wifi Extra at O2 hotpots not automatically connecting on my phone: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Tech-Support/London-Undergound-Wi-Fi-never-auto-connects/td-p/1558212. It is happening again, my phone will only manually connect, it never connects automatically.

Last time you were able to do fix it so it worked brilliantly but now it has stopped working again. Please can an O2 support person help resolve it and do what you did so fantastically last time.

@O2Simon, @O2Emma, @O2KyleW hope you can help

@CorrectHorseBat

I would give up, Virgin are seemingly killing off the tube Wifi, as its poorly supported by them,  and some networks have pulled support as its that bad, and 4G is coming to some of the lines...  They have no incentive to keep going with it.

Just to add to what @madasaf1sh says above, 4G is on the way across the Tube network:

Tube passengers may be able to stream World Cup Final on Underground 4G https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/london-underground-tube-4g-signal-tfl-b1041381.html

And some info from TfL relating to 4G and 5G rollout currently in-flight across the TfL Underground/Tube/LightRailway network:

https://tfl.gov.uk/info-for/business-and-advertisers/creating-a-connected-london

Which mobile network works on the Underground?
Customers of mobile network operators Three, EE, Vodafone and Virgin Media O2 will access the high-speed 4G and 5G-ready mobile connectivity when using the Tube including when in tunnels. BAI won a 20-year concession from Transport for London (TfL) in June 2021 to provide mobile connectivity on the Underground.16 Jul 2022

Until then Londoner's may unfortunately have to make eye contact with fellow travellers  😉

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
