You can leave Virgin Broadband but keep your O2 SIM.
Just check your MyO2 to see if you do have Volt as usually it is automatically applied
Even if you have you will be OK. Although they may reduce your data allowance
This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
