When will O2 catch up?
As Three are buying O2 it would be quite soon I would imagine.

The charge is only for data, if you turn it off you only pay for calls and texts.

After 5 years, I'm leaving O2😔. I don't want to pay £1.99 a day and then pay for calls and texts on top when I'm out of the UK. I'm off to another provider that lets me use my tarif for free when I'm travelling. Even in the U.S. When will O2 catch up?
Whilst I agree, bear in mind every one of those listed charges are optional.
O2 policy is O2 policy and is not hidden at all.

Exactly. Totally agree.
Why? If you know you travel abroad more often than most would you not do your homework on charges?

I think I travel abroad more than many. I know how to handle my allowance. I rarely send texts preferring to use Wifi apps to stay in touch with family members. In fact I use Wifi to gain access to data. As for calls I have no problem managing those and paying a 50p connection fee for 59 minutes talking time. People only phone me when it's urgent....or if they want to have a long conversation!. My bill on return from abroad after this sort of management is only slightly higher than normal

I wish you well with your new provider. Make sure you get your phone unlocked for free whilst still with o2 and try out P&G sims for other networks before making your choice.
