Currently have 2 contracts, both consumer.
1. For me, the main contract expired in May and now 12 month simplicity at £16pm
2. My student son's, which expired in May also, but is still being charged at the same rate. Where is the phone cost going, he didn't have a new phone.
I want to switch my main number to a business tariff, on 4G with Samsung Note 3, am happy to go 24 month. Have spoken to the local shop and they don't see a way for my consumer simplicity to be transferred to a business tariff at this point in time.
I also want to switch my son to sim only. Which seems straight forward.
Any clever combinations of account/tariff changes to end up with the required combination. 4g business tariff and a cheap sim only tariff.
Thanks
Obviously looking for a NO penalty solution.

As it is simplicity 12 month I think you have to wait until 9 months completed.
Best option to discuss this would to ring o2 business sales on 0800 029 0202 weekdays 9am-6pm from a landline for free
Tell them you are on a consumer simplicity and want to move to the package you want they will advise of the best option

Had a lengthy chat to both a consumer support person and one from the business side, and the answer is that I can't do much at the moment without incurring a fee of around £112.
I can however transfer the contract to my business and get a new phone if I wait until November, when the current simplicity contract reaches 6 months, without incurring a fee.
Thanks for your replies.
