Hi - I have ordered a sim only deal and received the SIM card in the post .

 

How do I transfer my old number to the new sim and secondly how do I get an e sim for the new sim ?

Esim is not available on Pay As you go, only on Pay Monthly and you will need to speak to o2 to get an esim pack sent out if on pay monthly. 

To migrate your number if on PAYG to PAYM then follow this guide Guide: Migration & porting into O2  

To do a sim swap if PAYG to PAYG then follow this guide Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

monthly and new sim is a pay monthly deal

If you did an upgrade you don't need to do anything as the new contract is updated on your current SIM. 

If you took a new contract then you need to call to migrate your number which cancels your old contact.
