New SIM

Hi, i recently changed my monthly SIM -only contract online to get a better rate. I have now received a new SIM card in the post but i am wary of using it in case i lise my current phone number.   Can anyone please help me?  Do yiu normally get a new SIM card when you change tariff?

Hi @DC72 

The new sim will be 5G. Only useful if you have a 5G phone or live in a 5G area. They always send a new sim out. I just use my old one. However if you want 5G then you do a sim swap, which puts your old number onto the new sim. Follow the info in this guide Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
