I’ve bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max and there is no sim slot so I need an eSIM. I’ve followed the website support pages and there isn’t anywhere on the o2 app that actually aligns with what is being said in the directions.

can’t find “swap sim” or “request eSIM” and download eSIM from the link doesn’t do anything, nor is there a link or direction on the app!

can anyone help?

@CraigCleaver

All EU iPhones have a sim slot.

If yours doesn't it will be a USA phone and may not be compatible with UK networks.

The quickest way to get an esim is to go in store with photo ID.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

@CraigCleaver - In addition to the links shared by @Bambino for eSIMs, the forum manager has put together this handy guide: eSIM - How to activate

Do bear in mind the point made by @MI5 - however, the guide shared here and this answer on the Apple Support Forums should help. Do note that the top answer below was offered by a customer who went into an O2 Shop in the UK to move his SIM to the eSIM-only US-purchased iPhone:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255149848

Note: You will need valid photo ID to get help in an O2 Shop.

Also if your iPhone came from a source other than Apple or a reputable reseller, make sure the IMEI on your eSIM-only phone has not been blocked/blacklisted for any reason (eg a reported lost or a stolen or damaged handset): https://www.phonecheck.com/blog/imei-check-before-used-mobile-phone-purchase

Good luck!
