ive just passed on my contract over to my daughter,who lives in another town.
she says data will not connect, but wifi is fine.
i used data every day without a problem, before i gave it to her
So why the problem.

As @Bambino alludes to, what you have done might well be outside of the T&Cs, although as long as the bill is paid promptly each and every month, I cannot imagine O2 being too concerned.

What was the result when you tried using your phone in your daughter's location? And vice-versa.
That would ID whether O2's network is poor in your daughter's area.
