I have a Pixel 9 Pro with eSIM and I keep getting the SMS saying that Visual Voicemail has been activated.
I can understand and accept that it will happen when the device is switched on but it is happening at least daily, sometimes more frequent.
I know one option is to switch it off in phone settings but that defies the point, if it is an available feature on the O2 network then I would like it on but not receiving repeated notifications.
Any suggestions? Thanks

It's only a feature on a limited number of some older Android phones supported by O2. They were going to introduced it and stopped
Just turn it off

Actually it should work on the Pixel range. It is available on my 7a but I have it turned off because of the constant "bug" that tells me it's been activated.

It is linked to a bug in the software on Pixels and how they register with the VVM services (not just o2) and if I recall there is a bug report for it, but so far Google havent done anything about it...
So I would recommend if you can and are tech savvy (at IT Admin or Dev level) then log another bug report with Google the more the better...

I've reported it already along with many others but the more that do so, the better.

Actually, on the Pixel 8a, the registration process is part of first boot-up out of the box, and it seems to enable without nagging constantly like it did on my previous 6a..
So perhaps fixed on the 8a? I disabled it as I don't use Voicemail at all and did not see the need to leave it enabled.
