Porting mobile number from EE to O2

Hi,

I received a text from O2 this morning to say that my mobile number had been ported to O2.

Although I can now make outgoing calls from my phone anyone calling me is put straight through to my old EE voicemail. When I phoned EE they said that it appeared as though the porting process was still happening.

Do I just need to bide my time until the process is fully complete or should it be more or less instantaneous after I received the text from O2?

Many thanks

Pete

@Pete23

It can take 24 hours to fully port over.

Just keep rebooting your phone.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
