Not a lot to go on there.

Screens can get hot with prolonged usage but they should not be to the stage you can't hold them.

Make and model would be useful

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Samsung A54. It is getting hot as soon as I turn it on - more than just warm. It was fine until a day or two go. I think it needs a repair of some sort. O2 shops don't sort out repairs do they?

@Knutsford

No, O2 shops dont sort out repairs. you would need to send it off to O2.

However, before that, you would be wise to contact Samsung direct.

SAMSUNG SUPPORT

If you do need to send to O2, info here.....

Uninstall any apps that coincide with when yourt issue started

Best option is to backup your phone and do a factory reset

If you send the phone for repair that is the first thing they will do if there is no obvious fault

settings - Accounts and backup - backup data

After reset then you can restore data from backup

I have read @Knutsford of 'phones overheating because of errant apps, so on the Samsung Galaxy A54 :-

1. tap on the three vertical lines in the bottom left-hand corner of the homescreen.

2. click on "Close All".

3. restart the handset.

I think that is unlikely to solve your problem, but as it will be a two-minute exercise, it is worth a try ! 👍
