Hello

Looking for some help

I have just bought and received a preloaded O2 SIM card for "Mobile broadband for tablets, mobile wifi and dongles"

This is to see if I can use mobile broadband at home instead of the very slow broadband, copper wire, speed from BT/Openreach.

I have registered the SIM mobile number and have put the SIM card into a unlocked mobile broadband router but it is coming up as Connection Failed, I am getting information from the local cell mast with signal strength, cell ID, and band number but no internet.

I am assuming the above SIM card can be used for mobile broadband?

If so any idea what I am doing wrong?.

Thanks for looking.  John

Have you tried the SIM in a 'phone in order to eliminate the possibility that the SIM is defective ?

Hello

Thanks for the replies and advice. it was the APN field in the router that was wrong, tried several times with new profiles but only worked when I did a restart so still not sure what I did but it's working now.
