Hi all - Been an O2 and LG fan / user for years and would appreciate some advice/tech support.

I'm upgrading my LG G7 Thinq and am looking at either the LG V50 or V60. Really want to stick with LG as I've used them since my local O2 guru recommened them years ago, but as neither device was launched in the UK, worried about compatability. Online many users say that both work in the UK depending on model version, some say they don't & whilst both are 5g ready phones, the V60 has wider coverage  - I'm just clueless as to which (if either) covers UK 5G!  Really appreciate any input, especially on what models/carriers to avoid & what frequencies etc a phone will need to work here.

Thanks!

They are both.

GSM is really just 2g

3g is HSDPA

4g and 5g are LTE

If any resident Gurus have experience of either phone - it would be great to hear. From the above, looks as if 4g is OK, 5g not. 😞

I've no experience of either, but from looking online at the specs, I agree.

4g OK but 5g will not work on O2.

Supposed to be 50 times faster than 5g and expected around 2030.
