I had a message today that I had used all my data up
This is the first time ever - it doesn’t refresh until the 3/4/24
it’s only the 6/3/24 today
can you help me find out what has happened please?

If you look in the data settings on your phone it will tell you which apps have used the most data.
That might give you an indication of what's gone wrong.
If you think you were using wifi and it dropped out, your phone will use mobile data if you have it switched on.
