@bboy12s

You cant just cancel an account because YOU lost a sim card, you will need to pay off any device plans or early termination fees.

To report the sim lost follow this guide Guide: Lost or Stolen O2 Device? - How to Report it

To cancel then its this guide Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

And customer services are closed so you will need to call tomorrow at 8am UK time

Thanks but not helpful

The reason I wish to cancel my wife's account and now my own is the appalling level of support

Lost and stolen should be 24 hours, so stay on the line for an agent.

You can call using Skype if need be Guide: A Guide to Skype

Or if you have an O2 sim, it's a free call to

+44 7860 980 202
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
