Upgrade: Will I get new phone AS WELL as a new sim card?

Anonymous

Hello,

I've been an O2 customer for almost 2 years (end of July) and have recently lost my phone. It must be somewhere in my house but I can't seem to find it. Rather than waiting for it to turn up, I thought I might just pay a little bit more and get an early upgrade.

I have several questions regarding this:

1. If I'm upgrading now, will automatically get a new sim card with the new phone?

2. What if I want to keep my old number? I would still need a new sim card since I've lost my old phone.

Is this possible?

3. Will I have to pay extra for a sim card replacement when I am upgrading?

Thank you! slight_smile

Marion

You can do this and transfer your number to the sim that comes with the new phone, all free.

Check the freezer and the washing basket for your old phone wink

If you think there may still be a chance the battery hasn't run down, try calling your number.

If you Get an android, make sure you install "device manager" from Google, and you can locate it from another smart phone or PC. Free in the play store. You can make it ring, lock it, change the password, wipe the phone remotely if it gets a signal. I'm sure there is something similar for Apple or Microsoft phones.
Some security apps (I have McAfee livesafe) have similar locators.
