Tariff change

I just switched to O2 (literally yesterday) on a SIM only deal. I was exploring myO2 and when I click "airtime plan" it says my current tariff is "12 month SIM only plan affiliate".

However scrolling down on this page, under monthly plans it says "You can change your plan at any time. The change will come into effect immediately.". There are 3 different tariffs listed here and one would suit me better (slightly less data, slightly lower cost).

I can click 'change to this tariff' and it takes me through to a summary page telling me 0 upfront cost and then the monthly rate. The next button is "switch to this plan".

I am too afraid to click it incase I'm doing something wrong here or will be double charged. As far as I can see only customers buying a phone from o2 are able to change tariffs. It might be if I clicked the next button they stop me because of this.

If its not something I'm able to do that's fine. I've tried searching the forums and my contract but no luck.

Any insight?

No issue. Go for it.

It will confirm the details and the number you are making changes to.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
