Hello. I'm on a SIM only account (originally Virgin Mobile) which I have have used with an iPhone SE that I bought some years ago. I have now bought a newer model of iPhone, and think I may need a replacement SIM card that will provide 5G. I suppose I'd need one for that new phone anyway, so that it can be activated. I'd be grateful if someone could walk me through the steps about how to get a new SIM and then doing what I need to do to transfer all data across, and then to make the new iPhone and new SIM work with my current phone number and O2 account. I saw a link to SIM swap, but I don't know if that's what I need to do to start with.
Thanks

SIM Swap is used after O2 have sent you a replacement SIM card, @RobBrum - info here: https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/activating-your-sim
As you already have a replacement phone, the info in here may be useful for background info: Guide: Upgrading Your O2 Phone - good luck!
