Hi everyone,
Hoping someone here can help clarify something for me.
I recently signed up for a Virgin Media broadband package, and as part of the deal, I added an O2 Pay Monthly SIM. One of the advertised benefits was that I could "roam freely in 75 destinations at no extra cost, with O2 Travel Inclusive Zone" — which sounded great, especially as I travel a lot for work.
However, I just got back from South Africa and found that roaming there wasn’t included. After calling O2, I was told my plan only includes 27 destinations, not 75 — and that South Africa isn’t one of them.
This has left me pretty confused, as the original promo clearly mentioned the 75 destinations. I came across another O2 page that lists 75 countries under the O2 Travel Bolt On, which includes South Africa, and this is what I assumed the promo was referring to.
So, my question is:
Which roaming package is actually included with the O2 SIM when it’s added through a Virgin Media broadband deal?
Is it the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone (27 destinations), or should it be the broader O2 Travel (75 destinations)?
Has anyone else had this experience or been able to get it sorted?
Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Just trying to figure out whether something was missed on my account, or if the promo wording was misleading.
Thanks in advance!

Check your bolt on's in My O2
You should have the Volt bolt on and the O2 Travel Inclusive bolt on
That is the one that covers 27 countries outside of the EU
If you have those then you should be able to roam in South Africa for £7.00 per day
The O2 Travel Inclusive ULTIMATE covers 75 destinations including South Africa and is tariff dependent

Considering that the Ultimate is relatively new it's a bit sneaky that O2 have transferred the Inclusive benefits that we all assumed we had to the Ultimate package.
Misleading now? Definitely!
How many of us thought we could now roam freely in 75 destinations? I certainly did...

Afternoon @Gruntyk, @Enlli, @jonsie, @pgn
When purchasing an O2 SIM as part of a Volt bundle, you get access to EU roaming + Travel Inclusive Zone, which makes up the total number of countries.
Travel Inclusive Zone does not include South Africa. You can find the countries covered HERE

The confusion arises from posts and adverts such as your post here::
Bigger benefits – Just for being with both Virgin ... - O2 Community

Roam freely in even more places
On top of roaming in Europe as standard (up to 25GB – after that, it’s £3.50 per GB), you’ll bag our O2 Travel Inclusive Zone at no extra cost, too (unless you’ve already unlocked this with O2)*. So, whether you’re hopping off on holiday or jetting across the globe on business, you’ve got the freedom to call, text, stream and scroll, just like you would at home, in 75 destinations worldwide – including the EU, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico and more.
*Tablets excluded from roaming benefits.
This really needs changing to 27 ***
