Hi,

Looking for some advice. I currently have a 36 month contract for airtiume and device. If I pay off the device would I be left with just paying the air time - similarly - would I be able to move to a lower airtime SIM only contract?

Thanks

@Brogsy

Yes you would be able tochoose a lower sim only plan once you pay off your device

Guide: How does O2 Refresh work?

You need to contact Payment Management

You can reach the Payment Management team on 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 5302

The opening times are:

Monday to Friday – 8am to 8pm

Saturday – 8am to 6pm

Sunday – 9am to 6pm

https://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/payment-support

Best time to call is around 8.00am

@Brogsy

Just to add, look at USwitch for a much cheaper sim only plan (Once device is paid off)

https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/compare/sim_only_deals/o2/

Choose the deal you want

This will automatically redirect you to the O2 website

Just follow the prompts and choose the UPGRADE option

Complete the deal and nothing on your account changes except the tariff at the new cheaper cost

Payment date is the same and your next bill will be at the cheaper rate and will be made up of the pro rata cost of your old tariff and your new tariff

The change should show in My O2 within 24 hours

Volt benefits will still apply as will possibly a 3 month extra such as Disney+

One you pay off the device you are free to do what you like with the airtime You can stay, change or leave

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
