No 4G roaming in New York

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've just been to New York. My friend on EE had 4G but I only had 3G. O2 Guru on chat has told me that O2 only delivers 3G in the US. Is this correct?

Yes it is correct.
O2 only has 4g roaming in Germany currently.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Many thanks. That's pretty appalling given that Vodafone and EE have 4G even in places like China. I'll be changing my account as soon as I can!

O2 really need to pick up their game to provide 4G in other countries. It's beyond poor.

Yet another reason not to be with O2.

I suppose you also experienced data throttling on 3G and all for £4.99/day. Brilliant!

I experienced their 4g roaming in Hamburg at the weekend - whilst it was still a bit patchy it was definitely an improvement on the woeful 3G - but that was improved upon last September- I asked them about other 4g agreements and they said “watch this space” but then they’ve been saying that for months.

O2 DE has as well the least amount of 4G Coverage in Germany at present 80% of Population.

The best is T-Mobile at 92% and Vodafone is at 84%

Information obtain for coverage is from
