Need a PAC code and need a new SIM. O2 fobbing me off!!!!!

Hi all,

with my Virgin contract we got a free sim. I’ve been using it at university as the WIFI is awful. Last month my other half’s phone contract finished and instead of paying sky high monthly ransom we transferred his number to the O2 sim and cancelled his contract.

So now he’s preordered a phone on the Three network and needs his phone number back. This is where O2 clowns step in with their massive clown shoes. It was a simple request but they sent me around in circles with their bot and when I finally got to someone they disconnected me and sent me on the carousel of morons again. All I need is

1) a PAC code so he can get his number back for his new phone.

2) With the number going to Three I’ll need either a new phone number for the sim or a new sim (with a new number) for the contract I’ve got with O2/Virgin.  This is so I can continue getting internet for university. 
Is this too complicated? I’ve come to the conclusion that the O2 ‘experts’ aren’t experts and will panic if you put a light on. It’s either that or they’ve been malicious and couldn’t be bothered to sort my problem out. Either way I’m livid with this treatment, but not surprised. 
Sorry to be somewhat nasty but I’m sick of O2’s ‘expert’ treatment.

You cant do what you are asking. 

 

Your partner will need to either port out which will cancel the o2 sim and you will then need to pay off any termination fees, or get a new number from Three, you cant port out and then get a new number on the same sim as it cancels the account. 

You will need to sign up for a new sim and contract on o2 as well to get a new o2 sim and number,..

Sorry but that is the way it is and that is how it has always worked with porting...

 

Just to add no network lets you do it the way you want it to work...

What happens when you text INFO to 85075

That should then tell you if anything is owing

If not text PAC to 65075 to get the number over to Three (you will be required to pay any outstanding balance)

Once the number is transferred then you will need to take out a new contract with a new number on O2

 

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
