International call charges - from the UK to EU

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I would like to get an idea on why I have been charged for international calls now, in Aug/Sep, while in previous months I wasn't. I did had other international calls before, either while I was in the UK or in EU travelling.

Cheers,

Raycho

International calls from UK are chargeable.
International calls to UK or other EU countries are now included in your allowances but only when you are roaming yourself.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

So you mean to tell me, it's better to have an EU phone number in the UK when I try to dial EU phones in the EU, correct? As there won't be any charges in place, due to the roaming.

Eu to eu when roaming is included in your tariff, yes.
Equally, roaming on an eu tariff in uk would also be included.
Crazy world!

That's fine. I'll just cancel my O2 subscription as I'm not happy with this. I've been travelling and working from multiple EU countries and for the first time in my life I've been notified with an SMS at the last moment that "hey, you've already spent £125"

This is nuts.

You’ll need to cancel correctly to avoid complications and only if your minimum contract term has been met, or you’ll have to pay to leave
