I have an iPhone 5 and will be going abroad to work in Europe for six months. Will I have O2 Travel activated automatically or do I have to ask O2 first? Is there any way I can check if I've got it activated on my phone? I'd be very grateful for any help anyone can give me!

Just check your bolt ons in My O2. It should show as active.

You should see it listed in MyO2.

Presumably the best way to use O2 Travel would be to keep data roaming switched off and only put it on whenever you need to use it?
Yes, that's the safest way. Also seek out any wifi hotspots that you can use.
