Cancelling my sim

Hi guys just wanted some help 

I cancelled my sim/contract today and I was wondering if I needed to pay anything. 

I do have a contract for a phone that im nearly a year into and its already paid off but its got 2 years and 4 months left and my sim says pay monthly so I’m not sure as when I was on the phone it was breaking up so couldn’t really ask

Okay thanks for clearing this up as I paid it off today then cancelled it a few hours later as I found the same sim for nearly £15 cheaper
