Can I lower my tariff?

I bought a new phone a couple of months ago and was wondering if I am able to lower my tariff as I don't use even half the amount of data that I pay for. I ask this as when I go to 'change tariff' in MyO2 it only gives me 1 option which is to go on to a more expensive tariff.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

If you bought your contract phone directly from O2 and are on a Refresh tariff, this is possible once in a month, @crof - info here: https://www.o2.co.uk/refresh/flexible-tariffs

I don't see anything that will link me to available tariffs? Only when I go through myO2 do I get the option to change tariff and that is only offering me a higher one. Not lower.

How do flexible tariffs work?

You can change tariffs 30 days after you receive your new phone. You’ll be able to move between the other tariffs that were available on your phone when you bought it, subject to an annual RPI adjustment. Simply sign in to My O2, and choose the tariff you want to move to.

Your new tariff will start from the day of your next billing date.

If nothing works, try MyO2 Web rather than App, otherwise reach out to O2 on the links just below this post, @crof - good luck!
