Hi there,
I received the price increase email on 2 Feb notifying the £1.80 price increase to my sim only contract per month. I'm slightly outside the 30 day window specified in the email, but before being moved to the new contract terms on 9th March, and before the price increase in April.
Would appreciate any advice: where do I stand, and can I disagree to the new terms and leave without penalty? I am in contract until 1.9.25

ITs outrageous - this represents an 18% increase in my monthly SIM only contract- no where near RPI +3.9% per the contract terms?
How can this pass

Thank OFCOM who made it possible. In doing away with a system they found it difficult for customers to work out a rise during the length of a contract, they gave the networks carte blanche to rise prices this way.
None of the regulators give a *** about customers. OFGEM, OFWAT etc all work for companies they are supposed to regulate

Meh, I'm still paying off my device plan on my current phone and it ain't cheap otherwise I'd have told O2 to get lost long ago.
Price increase, my ****! I'm already struggling financially, unfortunately they only call me Rich by name.

There should at least be a standard across all the networks
Increases vary from £1.00 to £1.80, all of which are above the RPI for those paying less than £25/month

I'm currently paying £15 a month on both my contracts (phone and watch), following a successful visit to the shop in Town last week, my watch is now fully working. (and I didn't have to phone CS, unlike last time due to some complete idiot who thought I was Fred Bloggs)
Therefore a £1.80 increase is 12%, which is nearly 4 times the RPI, how the flip do they get away with this? I mean OK yeah there's a certain element of customers who don't read the terms and conditions when they sign up for stuff, but I always do.

You should think about registering as Fred....

The irony is, knowing some of the annoyingly incompetent staff, they'd probably think I'm Fred West.
