I have been told that I need to swap my existing 2G SIM for a 4G SIM because O2 will be switching off the 2G network. On the O2 website it states that “This SIM can be collected free of charge at our stores or delivery will be free and sent in the post within 3-5 days to the address you give to us”. I have just contacted O2 by phone to request a SIM swap and was told I had to go to an O2 shop in order to obtain a new SIM. There are no O2 shops near me so why can I not have the SIM delivered as stated? Has anyone else encountered the same issue?

You can have one delivered, but your current sim will be terminated immediately, so you will be without a signal until the new one arrives.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks
