Hi,
I have a o2 account that has a dead o2 pay as you go sim associated with it, I’m trying to order a new pay monthly sim but I’m unable to as it wants to send a text to a number no longer active, is there a way to get passed this? Spoken to o2 and they don’t seem to want to help as I don’t even know the old pay as you go number, only what the last 4 digits are!
I’ve tried creating a new account with a different email address but it recognises me as having an existing account!
any ideas?
thanks

If you are resigned to having a different number, @a_ukboy - forget about the old PAYG (if it had no credit and you had no recurring top-up set on it) and order a new Pay Monthly SIMO from uSwitch, £8 monthly for 12-month contract (provided you pass the credit check), and use it in your existing handset: https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/sim-only-deal/a16e0a13cfa50ed960dd3be428b7f0fbea4a044c/?position=1&l...
Failing that, try O2 via Social Media if you need to resurrect your old MyO2 account - and be persistent. Either if these ways will do, pick one and stick with it, @a_ukboy: - and be persistent!

As you don't know the number best to sign up as a new customer.
If you want SIM only try going through the likes of USwitch. Much cheaper

Hi, I am a Virgin media volt customer and to get this deal I had to have an o2 SIM card which I have never activated but I pay monthly for it. I have been trying to log in to my o2 to check my bill but I can’t get past the security question because they want to send me a text to the sim that I never activated . How can I log in please , is there another way ? Thank you

This is a customer to customer community, not O2, so we cannot access your account, sorry.
You need to contact O2.
Message them on Social Media. Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (X) (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or give them a call on 202 or 0344 809 0202 (contract) 4445 or 0344 8090222 (PAYG)
