How do I cancel an account?

I tried moving over from Virgin mobile a week  ago. It has been a disaster, and that's being polite!!

Due to an error in my account name, not my error I might add, My credit check was turned down and I didn't get the phone I had ordered. My account says I have no products or services on it so I assume it is as good as dead.

I have tried talking in the virtual assistant section and got nowhere. Simple questions are misunderstood and all "experts" are busy so I get nowhere!

I simply want to cancel the account so can anyone tell me how to go about it? Frankly I am at my wits end and do not need this hassle!

@Geraldo

See the FAQ's I posted above.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this
Thanks

Guide: Cancelling Your Contract

Be aware if you are within your Minimum Term on your contract there will be exit fees

You can use Social Media if you want to contact O2

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Thanks for your reply. Due to the error I mentioned in my post I don't think I have a contract as such due to no products or services on my account. if I try to log in they don't even recognise my number!!!

So how do I simply cancel a dead account?
