This has to be the worst customer service I have ever had. I have been a loyal customer with o2 for years and I cannot understand why they are doing this to me.
I lost my SIM card 2 weeks ago and used the chat service to report it stolen and order a new SIM. 1st time they sent it to an old address even though the agent asked me for my current address (which is my account address). 2nd time I asked for it to be sent to a different address. I was told no problem. When it did not arrive I enquired again and was told its cannot be sent to an unregistered address. fair enough but why was I not told at the time.
3rd time I chatted to a supervisor who assured me that he will send it to the correct address. I called today and guess what? Yep, sent to the incorrect address again.
I would never have expected this from O2. My contract has run out and this has left a very bitter taste and I will be changing my netowrk.
Sorry for the rant. Had to let of steam and warn other people.
Have a nice day.

I would just pop into nearest o2 store and pick one up and get them to activate it against your account and number.

I'm curious...how on earth do you lose a SIM card? Its not like they can just fall out the phone...

Silly mistakes yes, but enough to make me change networks, I don't think so!

As adamtemp64 has mentioned, the easiest thing to do is to go into an O2 shop, pick up a SIM card and then call customer services to swap your number to the new card.
Or alternatively, if you cant get to a shop, just call customer services (NOT Live Chat) who should be able to sort this out for you.

I usually keep a blank sim as a spare just in case.

Oh the joy of webchat. Having said that, it is the customer's responsibility to keep their details up to date. You have to do it with banks, commodities, DVLC etc. and mobile companies are no different.

My details were up to date. They kept sending to an old address. On thing is for sure that I will never use the chat service again.
