Enforcement And Termination Notice Letter

Hello,

About a month ago I called O2 to cancel my contract and pay off the sim for another device. I had been told that the termination of my account was in process, and the rest of the money i owed for the sim card would be taken out of my account - therefore having no balance, nothing to pay, and no account with the company once that was all done. I have recently received an Enforcement and Termination letter through my door saying that I still need to pay the rest of the money, even though I was led to believe that was done before.

I then called O2 to ask to make that final payment, however the customer service and payment management lines have been saying that it has already been payed (when it was supposed to have been) and my accounts have indeed been paid for and terminated, with also saying that they're not sure why I have received that letter.

So, I have two different pieces of information, and I am unsure as to which of these is the truth. Has it been paid? Has it not? This could have just been a letter sent to me with the wrong information on it, however all of my details are correct and it seems to be a completely legitimate letter.

The letter says to call O2 themselves (not some other random number) to pay for it, otherwise actions will be taken - ones that will affect my credit score, and as a young person, I am trying to build that, not damage it.

I will probably call again, as I have asked for a confirmation email or text of all of what the people on the phone were saying, however I haven't received that yet. "My O2" also backs up what they have said, and says I don't have any balance.

I am unsure what to do next. Any help would be great slight_smile

Apologies for the long write-up. Thanks a lot slight_smile

@fparrr13 This is a customer community. No one here has access to anyone else's account information. You'll have to persevere with calling O2 and ask them to either email or snail mail you to confirm you have paid what you owe.
