Hi, Can I get a new phone before my contract runs out in January?
What I mean is I have a contract until January but want a new phone now, can I run 2 contracts myself and when it gets to January cancel the old one?
thanks.
Stu.

If you pass the credit check, yes. But it's an expensive option. Have you looked at all the possibilities?

I think so, my old phone is worth nowt now. So I am selling my 3ds on ebay to pay for the months left on my old contract so I can pay for new one normally.
I just thought I may be able to run the two concurrently.

One thing, if you can afford to pay the old contract off in one go you at least save the 20% VAT and can keep the number. I did this but only had three months to go.

mmmm, could be worth a go. I think I should phone them and weigh up my options . You think?
£35 x 7 = 245
-20% = £196 (i think)
doable, would 02 do this?

Yes, but if you're like me they will quote you the price inclusive of vat, but when the bill comes you don't get charged it ( I was quoted £125 to end my contract which I paid, then the bill came and it was £104 leaving me £21 in credit)

Have you attempted to drop a tariff yet? That could save you a little bit more. But as above, why bother for the free phone if its going to cost at least 1/3 to a 1/2 of the cost of a sim free phone to pay it off?
As ever, my advice would be sell the current one, buy a sim free phone and then drop to simplicity at the end of the contract. Don't forget to drop a tariff if you can.
