I would like to supercharge my O2 contract with Volt, but the button on the page just takes me to the Virgin Media website, where I click a button saying I'm a VM & O2 customer and get taken back to My O2, it's just an infinite loop. I assume there's meant to be an option on the O2 page for existing VM customers, rather than just "Join Virgin Media"?

You need to do this in Myo2, have a look at the master thread Volt Megaguide

I applied through My O2 app. Listed as Volt Benefits.

Thanks but have also tried this, on My O2 app on my phone there's no mention of Volt on the Offers page as the megaguide indicates. Then when I'm logged into My O2 on a browser I just get the infinite loop described above. Feel like I may need to call up and speak to someone.

Thanks Breanna I got in touch today and they were able to add the Volt benefits to my account.
