I just switched to Volt Virgin Media customer and returning to o2 - bu they did not migrate me very well so best to go into the store. I was in France and could not use my phone because they forgot to ‘switch on’ my roaming services which is advetised as Travel Exclusive one of the Volt benefits.

Unusual to have no roaming at all.
Some things to try:
Manually search for another network
Turn off 5g
Change your data APN to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
Check with O2 whether you have a roaming bar on your account. Do this via social media
If you message O2 on Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help.

No they made a mistake and left me without data overseas
