Back again but the plot thickens. Taken my iPhone abroad again and again I can’t get the phone to make or receive calls from the US, it works perfectly well in the UK. It has an O2 eSim. However, having put a US PAYG sim in, it works perfectly.
So why wouldn’t it work using UK number. I’m paying for O2 roaming whilst here, it has connected to local network GCI but can’t make calls on that carrier.
Any ideas gratefully received

@Abyss1 Are you in Alaska? O2 probably doesn't have a roaming agreement with the GCI network, which would explain why you can only make calls using the US Pay & Go sim.
You can contact O2 via social media and ask:
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB), Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW), or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Have you checked O2 have no Roaming bar on your account, @Abyss1?
Sometimes a manual search, or switching from 5G, if you have it, to 3G or 4G helps, as does rebooting your phone, even switching to airplane mode and back again can help.
The BAR seems most likely, and can be checked by the O2 Social Media Team, links below this post.
Also, I think O2 has no roaming agreement partner in Alaska or Hawaii - again O2 Social Media Team can confirm. Good luck!
