Wifi Calling

Good day

Recently switched to O2. My home has always had poor mobile signal and I've always relied on WiFi calling with my previous provider.

I do not have the option to turn on WiFi calling on my phone since having an O2 sim card.
I have an Iphone 13 Pro with IOS 18.
I cannot find any options within my O2 account to enable WiFi calling (as some forums suggested).

Is my phone unsupported in terms of firmware required? Or is this something I need to ask O2 to enable on my account?

Thanks

AL

@AL22 If you are Pay & Go Wi-Fi calling is not available.

If you are a Pay Monthly customer see this:

I've just found this out, i'm absolutely *bleep* off with O2.  Moved onto PAYG rolling monthly sim, ported my old number across, and then when wifi calling wasn't showing on my phone or in the MyO2 app I called O2, only to be told that wifi calling isn't available on PAYG.

Nowhere does O2 make that clear. I've looked everywhere on the website so if anyone knows where it says that please enlighten me.

Furthermore I used a link on moneysavingexpert site to get the O2 deal, and it clearly says on there wifi calling is included.

What reason would O2 use to decide not to offer it? How does it differ what plan i'm on, i'm still paying £15 per month either way for the service??

I just Googled "is wifi calling available on o2 payg" and got an answer in less than a second.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Well definitely no WiFi Calling on PAYG.

Also no VoLTE (4G Calling) and 5G.

Quite frankly I would not use O2 PAYG until they make a decision on these things as with 3G shutdown you may find you are using 2G for calls

Can you post the link you mentioned and I can ask someone to look at it

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

If you just filter by O2 PAYG, it does state "supports wifi calling"

https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cheap-mobile-finder/sim-only/

However, if you filter by "supports wifi calling" there are none shown.

The issue is with MSE not O2.

Maybe Martin Lewis should get his minions to check the information they are posting, as this isnt the first they have got things wrong...
but It is very clear on every other website where o2 PAYG is mentioned, and maybe check the official sites..

But why would I Google that before I ordered, when it said on the deal that wifi calling was included? I've been on O2 before (albeit on pay monthly) so never for a second would I have thought it wouldn't be included on PAYG.

@YorksNotts

You trusted a 3rd party site, which had incorrect details so think you should report it to them.. As it has nothing to do with o2..

Email to complain to the them brokenlink@moneysavingexpert.com

And get them to refund you the cost of the plan you are on.... and then port out to the likes of giffgaff if you need wifi calling..
