It could be a number of reason, sim card failure, bill overdue, service issues, phone fault.
You can check if its the SIM by putting it in a different phone and seeing it if it gets signal, if it doesnt then you need a new sim - you can get one by contacting customer services, or with Photo ID in your local o2 store.
Putting another o2 sim in your phone will also diagnose if its the phone or sim.
Also check https://status.o2.co.uk to see if its a local service issue.
